Love Knot Bow Pattern #2437

Starting at short side, ch 38. Sc in 10th ch from hook, (ch 5, skip 3 ch, sc in next ch) 7 times. Ch 6, turn.

* Sc in next loop, ch 5. Repeat from * across, ending with sc in last loop. Ch 6, turn.

Repeat 2nd row for 2½ inches. Fasten off. Make another piece like this. Gather foundation chains of both pieces, and sew together neatly.

Starting at center, ch 12, join with sl st to form a ring.

Ch 5, * tr in ring, ch 1. Repeat from * until 8 ch-1 sps are made. Ch 10, turn.

Dc in 5th ch from hook, ch 5, sc in next ch-1 sp, (ch 3, sc in next ch-1 sp) 7 times. Ch 10, turn.

Dc in 5th ch from hook, ch 5, in next ch-3 loop make sc, ch 3 and sc, (ch 3, sc in next loop) 5 times; ch 3, in next loop make sc, ch 3 and sc; ch 5, then in sp between dc and turning ch make dc, ch 2 and dc. Ch 5, turn.

Dc in ch-2 sp, ch 5, in next ch-3 loop make sc, ch 3 and sc, (ch 3, sc in next loop) 6 times; ch 3, in next loop make sc, ch 3 and sc; ch 5, in sp between dc and turning ch make dc, ch 2 and dc. Ch 5, turn.

Dc in ch-2 sp, ch 5, sc in next ch-3 loop, (ch 3, sc in next loop) 8 times; ch 5, in sp between dc and turning ch make dc, ch 2 and dc. Ch 5, turn.

Dc in ch-2 sp, ch 5, sc in next ch-3 loop, (ch 3, sc in next loop) 7 times— thus a loop is decreased, ch 5, in sp between dc and turning ch make dc, ch 2 and dc. Ch 5, turn.

Continue in this manner, decreasing 1 loop each row until only 1 loop remains. Ch 5, turn.

Dc in ch-2 sp, ch 5, sc in ch-3 loop, ch 5, in sp between dc and turning ch make dc, ch 2 and dc. Ch 5, turn.

Dc in ch-2 sp, dtr in next sc; in sp between dc and turning ch make dc, ch 2 and dc. Ch 5, turn, and sl st in sp between dc and turning ch. Fasten off.

Attach thread to foundation ring and repeat from 1st row to last row incl. once more.

Sew to Lower Piece at center. Sew a Safety pin at center back, to fasten.
