Setup

Starting at bottom of chart, ch 68.

1st row

Dc in 8th ch from hook, (ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next ch) 20 times. Ch 13, turn.

2nd row

Dc in 8th ch from hook, ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next ch, ch 2, dc in next dc (3 sps increased); 2 dc in next sp, dc in next dc (bl over sp), make 20 more bls, ch 5, dc in same place as last dc (1 sp increased); (ch 5, dc in 3rd st of last ch-5) twice (2 more sps increased); turn, sl st in 1st 3 ch. Ch 7, do not turn.

3rd row

Dc in same place as last sl st (1 sp increased), 10 bls, ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc (sp over bl), make 1 more sp, 3 bls, 2 sps, 10 bls, ch 5, dc in same place as last dc, turn, sl st in 1st 3 ch (1 sp increased). Ch 10, turn.

4th row

Dc in 8th ch from hook, ch 2, dc in next dc, 2 bls, 6 sps, 1 bl, 5 sps, 1 bl, 5 sps, 1 bl, 6 sps, 2 bls, ch 5, dc in same place as last dc, ch 5, dc in 3rd st of last ch-5. Ch 7, turn.

5th row to top

Starting at 5th row, follow chart to top. This completes one half of doily.

Second half

Omit last row on chart and work back until 26 more rows are complete. Do not ch to turn at end of last row. Sl st in each ch and in next dc. Ch 5 and follow chart across to within 1 sp from end of row (1 sp decreased at both ends). Now follow chart back to 1st row to complete doily.

Edging

Do not break off but work a row of sc closely around edges keeping work flat. Join and fasten off.
