Doily
With A ch 4, join (with slip st) into ring.
(right side)—Ch 3, work 17 dc in ring, join (in top ch of ch-3).
Ch 3 (=1 dc), 1 dc in joined st, 2 dc in each dc around, join.
Ch 3, skip joined st, 1 dc in each dc around, join.
Ch 3, 1 dc in joined st, 1 dc in next dc, * 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next dc; rpt from * around, join (54 dc).
Ch 3, 1 dc in joined st, 1 dc in each of 2 dc, * 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of 2 dc; rpt from * around, join.
Ch 3, working in back loop of sts, 1 dc in joined st, 1 dc in each of 3 dc, * 2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in each of 3 dc; rpt from * around (leaving front loops of rnd 5 free), join (90 dc).
Ch 1, 1 sc in joined st, ch 5, * skip next dc, 1 sc in next dc, ch 5; rpt from * around, join in first sc (45 Loops).
Slip st to center of next Loop, ch 1, 1 sc in Loop, [ch 5 and 1 sc] in each remaining Loop; end, ch 5, slip st in first sc. Rpt rnd 8 five times.
Work as for rnd 8 only ch 6 instead of ch 5.
Work as for rnd 8 only ch 7 instead of ch-5.
Slip st in next Loop, ch 3, 4 dc in same Loop, 5 dc in each remaining Loop, join.
Ch 1, 1 sc in each dc around, join in first sc.
Loop Ruffle
Ch 1, 1 sc in joined sc, * ch 10, skip next sc, 1 sc in next sc; rpt from * around; end, ch 10, skip next sc, join in first sc.
Ch 1, * 1 sc in free sc between next ch-10 Loop, ch 10; rpt from * around, join, fasten off.
Loop Ruffle Around Center
From right side, with A 1 sc in each free loop of rnd 5, join in first sc then work as for Loop Ruffle. Block and steam lightly.
Pansy
Work as for Pansy of Pansies Hot Plate Set Pattern, make 3 Pansies each of B and C. Sew in place as shown.
Glass Muff Base
Work to end of rnd 5 of Doily.
Glass Muff Body
Ch 3, skip joined st, 1 dc in back loop of each dc around (leaving front loops of rnd 5 of Base free), join in top of ch-3.
Ch 1, 1 sc in joined st, ch 5, * skip next 3 dc, 1 sc in next dc, ch 5; rpt from * around, join (in first sc).
Slip st to center of next Loop, ch 1, 1 sc in Loop, ch 5, [1 sc and ch 5] in each remaining Loop, join (18 Loops). Rpt rnd 3 ten times.
Work as for rnd 3 only ch 3 instead of ch-5.
Ch 3, skip joined st, 3 dc in next sp, * 1 dc in next sc, 3 dc in next sp; rpt from * around, join in ch-3.
Ch 1, 1 sc in joined st, 1 sc in each dc around, join then work same Loop Ruffle as for Doily.
Holding top of Glass Muff toward you, work as for Loop Ruffle Around Center of Doily. Steam lightly.
Work as for Pansy of Pansies Hot Plate Set Pattern, make 2 Pansies each of B and C. Sew in place as shown. Block to shape.
