Sl st in next sp, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, 3 dc in each sp around. Join with sl st in top st of starting chain.

Ch 7, * skip 2 dc, dc in next dc, ch 4. Repeat from * around. Join.

Sl st in next sp, ch 3, 3 dc in same sp, 4 dc in each sp around. Join.

Ch 8, * skip 3 dc, dc in next dc, ch 5. Repeat from * around. Join.

Sl st in next sp, ch 3, in same sp make 2 dc, ch 3 and 3 dc (shell made); in each sp around make a shell of 3 dc, ch 3 and 3 dc. Join.

Sl st in next 2 dc and in sp, ch 3 and complete shell as before (shell over shell made); make shell over shell around. Join.

Sl st in next 2 dc and in sp, ch 3 and complete shell as before, * ch 1, shell over next shell. Repeat from * around. Join.

Make shell over shell, having ch 2 (instead of ch-1) between shells. Join.

Work shell over shell, having 1 ch more between shells on each following rnd (ch 7 on 17th rnd).

* (Shell over shell, ch 7) twice; (sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1) 19 times; ch 7. Repeat from * around. Join.

Same as 22nd rnd, having one ch-1 sp less on each row (17 ch-1 sps on each pineapple). Join.

Sl st in next 2 dc, the following 3 ch and in the next 3 dc, ch 5, turn; work shell over shell, ch 7, make 16 ch-1 sps, ch 7, shell over shell. Ch 5, turn.

Shell over shell, ch 7, make 15 ch-1 sps, ch 7, shell over shell. Ch 5, turn.

Now work as for 2nd row, making 1 sp less on each row until 1 sp remains. Ch 5, turn.

Shell over shell, ch 7, sc in sp, ch 7, shell over shell, ch 5, turn, sc in sp of last shell, sc in sp of next shell. Fasten off. Attach thread to next free shell and work next pineapple in same way. Complete remaining pineapples. Fasten off.

Now work around outer edge of Centerpiece as follows: Attach thread to any ch-5 loop of a point, ch 1, sc in same loop, * in next loop make sc (ch 3, sc in 3rd ch from hook, sc) 3 times; ch 1. Repeat from * to next ch-7 loop, in ch-7 loop make sc, (ch 3, sc in 3rd ch from hook, sc) 5 times; ch 1, sc in next ch-5 loop. Continue thus around. Join and fasten off.

Starting at center, ch 8. Join with sl st to form ring.

18 sc in ring. Do not join.

Same as 2nd, 3rd and 4th rnds of Centerpiece (18 sps).

Same as 5th and 6th rnds of Centerpiece.

Same as 9th, 11th and 12th rnds of Centerpiece.

Work shell over shell, having 1 ch more between shells on each following rnd (ch 6 on 13th rnd).

* (Work shell over shell, ch 6) twice; in next shell make 3 dc, ch 5 and 3 dc, ch 6. Repeat from * around. Join.

* (Shell over shell, ch 6) twice; 18 tr in ch-5 sp of next shell (base of pineapple), ch 6. Repeat from * around. Join.

Work as for Centerpiece (20th to 23rd rnds incl), having ch 6 (instead of ch-7) between shells and pineapples, also having ch-1 sps correspond with number of tr at base of pineapple.

Now finish each pineapple individually as on Centerpiece. Then work around outer edge same as on Centerpiece. Fasten off.

Starting at center, ch 6. Join with sl st to form ring.

15 sc in ring. Do not join.

Same as 2nd, 3rd and 4th rnds of Centerpiece (15 sps).

Sl st in next sp, ch 3, in same sp make dc, ch 3 and 2 dc (shell made); in each sp around make a shell of 2 dc, ch 3 and 2 dc (make all shells like this). Join.

Sl st in next dc and in sp, ch 3 and complete a shell as before, * ch 1, shell over next shell. Repeat from * around. Join.

Make shell over shell, having ch 2 (instead of ch-1) between shells. Join.

* (Shell over shell, ch 3) twice; 9 tr in sp of next shell (base of pineapple), ch 3. Repeat from * around. Join.

* (Shell over shell, ch 3) twice; sc in each tr, ch 3. Repeat from * around. Join.

* (Shell over shell, ch 3) twice; sc in next sc, (ch 1, sc in next sc) 8 times; ch 3. Repeat from * around. Join.

Now finish each pineapple individually as on Centerpiece. Then work around outer edge to correspond with other doilies, having 1 p between pineapples. Starch lightly and block all pieces to measurements given.
