Pattern instructions
Place Mat
Starting at center with Skipper Blue, make a chain 6½ inches long.
4 dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across, 5 dc in last ch; working along opposite side of starting chain, make dc in each ch across. Join with sl st to top of starting chain. Hereafter pick up back loop only of each dc.
Ch 3, 5 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, 5 dc in next dc, dc in each dc to within next 5-dc group, (dc in next dc, 5 dc in next dc) twice; dc in each remaining dc. Join to top of ch-3.
Ch 3, dc in each dc around, making 5 dc in center dc of each 5-dc group. Join to top of ch-3. Repeat 3rd rnd until piece measures 12 x 18 inches. Break off.
Trimming
Attach White to any free loop on first rnd, sc in same place, sc in free loop of each dc around. Join and break off. Work in same manner over each dc rnd, making 3 sc in center dc of each 5-dc group. Join and break off. Block to measurements.
Glass Jacket Bottom
Starting at center with Skipper Blue, work as for Tartan Place Mat & Glass Jacket Pattern. Do not break off at end of last rnd.
Side Piece
Ch 3, dc in back loop of each sc around. Join.
Ch 3, dc in back loop of each dc around. Join. Break off at end of 9th rnd.
Trim as for Place Mat.
