Lace measures 102 inches deep. One pattern measures 10 inches wide; completed alb measures 3 yds. 2in. in circumference.

Choose one of the following threads in White, size 30: Clark's O.N.T. Mercerized Crochet, 16 balls. J. & P. Coats Mercerized Crochet, 12 balls. J. & P. Coats Big Ball Best Six Cord Mercerized Crochet, 6 balls.

Starting at short side, ch 149 (15 chain sts to linch).

1st row: Dcin 8thch from hook, ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in each of next 4ch(2spsand1bl); 43 sps, dcineach of next 6ch(2 bls). Ch 3, turn.

2nd row: 2 bls, 28 sps, dc in each of next 2ch,dcinnextdc(1bl);14sps,1bl,2sps. Ch 5, turn.

3rd row: 2sps,1bl,8sps,1bl,4sps, 1bl,17 sps,1bl, 1] sps, 2 bls. Ch 5, turn.

Now, starting at 4th row, follow chart until 6 rows are completed. Ch 5, turn.

7th row: 2 sps, | bl, 10 sps, 2bls, 4sps, 6 bls, 5sps, 1bl,2sps, 2 bls, 13 sps, dcin each of next 2 dc, make a foundation d c—to make a foundation dc, thread over, insert hook in 3rd st of turning ch, thread over and draw loop through; thread over and draw through I loop, thus making a chain st; complete as foradc.Make 2 more foundation dc by inserting hookin ch of previous dc; then makeldcinthe usual way (1 bl increased). Ch 5, turn.

Now, starting at 8th row, follow chart until 21 rows are completed; turn.

Hereafter, starting at 23rd row, follow chart to top. Then repeat entire design 10 more times. Fasten off.

Sew the two short sides together.
