Repeat instructions in parenthesis as many times as specified. For example: "(Ch 5, in next sc) 5 times" means to make all that is in parenthesis 5 times in all.

Starting at bottom make a chain 50 inches long (15 ch sts to 1 inch).

1st Row: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch across until there are 691 dc in the row, counting turning ch as 1 dc. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 3, turn.

2nd and 3rd Rows: Dc in each dc across, dc in top st of turning ch. Ch 3, turn.

4th Row: Skip 1st dc, dc in next 9 dc (3 bls made), ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc (a sp made over a bl), make 9 more sps, dc in next 6 dc - 2 bls made - (22 sps, 2 bls) 4 times; 8 sps, (12 bls, 22 sps) 4 times; 2 bls, 10 sps, 3 bls. Ch 3, turn.

5th Row: 3 bls, ch 2, dc in next dc (sp made over a sp), 2 dc in next sp, dc in next dc (a bl made over a sp), 8 sps, 2 bls, (10 sps, 2 bls) 8 times; 1 sp, 6 bls, 1 sp, (2 bls, 10 sps) 8 times; 2 bls, 8 sps, 1 bl, 1 sp, 3 bls. Ch 3 turn.

Starting at 6th row, follow chart to top to complete design. Fasten off.
