Attach Pink in 1st sc and work same as last row, sl st in last sc, cut yarn.

Attach Pink in 1st sc, sc in same space, 1 sc in each of the next 7 sts, * skip next 2 sts, 1 sc in each of the next 7 sts, repeat from * around sides having 9 sc between skipped sts at center of row, ch 1, turn.

Working through both loops, sc in 1st sc, * ch 1, skip 1st, sc in next st, repeat from *, ch 1, turn.

1 sc in each st, 1 sc in each ch 1 space, cut yarn and steam. With Pink crochet a chain about 1 1/4 yards long and lace through ch 1 spaces.

Work 1 sl st in each st, cut yarn. Draw points tog at top and steam.

Wind Cerise 50 times over a 2 inch cardboard. Slip off cardboard, tie in center, cut both ends and trim into shape. Attach to top of cover as illustrated.
