2nd Row—Sl st to loop, work 2 popcorn sts with ch 2 between in each loop between popcorn sts of previous row.

3rd Row—Sl st to loop, ch 4, trc in same space, ch 5, 2 trc in same space, * ch 2, trc, ch 5, 2 trc in next loop, repeat from * all around, ch 2, join.

4th Row—Sl st to loop, ** work 3 popcorn sts with ch 2 between each popcorn st in same space, * ch 3, skip 2 ch loop, 2 dc, 3 trc, 2 dc shell in next loop, repeat from *, ch 5, repeat from ** all around, join.

TASSELS. Wind thread 100 times around an 8 inch cardboard, tie through center leaving an end to sew and cut other end. Tie again about ½ inch down from top of tassel.

CAP FOR TASSEL. Ch 3, 6 sc in 1st st of ch, join in 1st sc, ch 1 and work 2 sc in each sc join.

3rd Row—* 1 sc in each of the next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, repeat from * 3 times, do not join this on the following rows.

Next 5 Rows—Work 1 sc in each sc.

Next Row—Ch 3, 3 dc in same space, slip loop off hook, insert in 3rd st of ch and pull loop through, ch 1, * skip 1 sc, 4 dc in next sc, slip loop off hook insert in 1st dc and pull loop through (popcorn st) ch 1, repeat from * all around, join in 1st popcorn st, break thread. Slip cap over top of tassel and attach to bedspread between scallops as illustrated.
