Vintage daisy motif place mat and apron pattern worked in white and canary yellow over yellow linen.

Pattern instructions
Place Mat
PLACE MAT (Make 4)-Daisy
Starting at Center with Canary Yellow, ch 2.
1st rnd: Holding "Speed-Cro-Sheen" in line with ch-2 and working over it, make 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st.
2nd rnd: Holding "Speed-Cro-Sheen" at top of previous sc rnd make 2 sc in each sc around. Join and break off Canary Yellow.
3rd rnd: Attach White and work as for 2nd rnd (24 sc). Join but do not break off.
FIRST PETAL... Ch 1, make 10 sc over "Speed-Cro-Sheen," ch 1, turn; holding "Speed-Cro-Sheen" at top of sc's and working over it, make sc in each of previous 10 sc, sl st in first ch-1, sc in next 2 sc of Center.
SECOND PETAL... Ch 1, working over "Speed-Cro-Sheen" as before, make sc in first 2 sc of First Petal, 8 sc over "Speed-Cro-Sheen." Ch 1, turn. Complete Second Petal as for First Petal.
Continue in this manner until 12 Petals are made. Join and break off. Place 25 Daisies in circular fashion over a piece of linen, pin, baste and sew in place. Cut away excess material and hem raw edges.
Apron
APRON ... Cut a piece of linen 15 x 32 inches and curve lower edges. Place 28 Daisies around curved edge, pin, baste and sew in place. Trim material on wrong side and hem raw edges. Gather top edge to measure 15 inches. With remaining material make waistband and ties and sew in place.
POCKET... Cut a circular piece of linen 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Roll narrow hem and sew 6 Daisies around circle. Sew pocket in place.
