A classic granny-square afghan in Dawn knitting worsted with multicolor motifs, green edging, and fringe.

Motif
With Azure chain (ch) 4, join to form a ring, ch 3 work 2 double crochet (dc) in ring, * ch 1, 3 dc in ring, repeat from * twice, ch 1, join in 3rd stitch (st) of ch, cut yarn.
Attach Beige in ch 1 space, ch 3, 2 dc in same space, ch 1, 3 dc in same space, * 3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch 1 space, repeat from * twice, join in 3rd st of ch, cut yarn.
Attach White in ch 1 space at corner, ch 3, 2 dc in same space, ch 1, 3 dc in same space, * 3 dc in next space, 3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch 1 space, repeat from * twice, 3 dc in next space, join in 3rd st of ch, cut yarn.
Attach Gray in ch 1 space at corner, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 1, 3 dc in same space, * 3 dc in each of the next 2 spaces, 3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc in ch 1 space at next corner, repeat from * twice, 3 dc in each of the next 2 spaces, join in 3rd st of ch, cut yarn.
Attach Green in ch 1 space at corner, ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same space, * 3 dc in each of the next 3 spaces, 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in next ch 1 space at next corner, repeat from * twice, 3 dc in each of the next 3 spaces, join in 3rd st of ch, do not cut yarn.
1 single crochet (sc) in each dc working 3 sc in ch 1 space at each corner, join, cut yarn. Sew motifs together sewing through both loops.
Edge
Attach Green in corner and work 3 rows of sc all around afghan working 3 sc in center st at each corner in each row, join, cut yarn.
Fringe
Using all colors, cut strands 9 inches long. Using 3 strands, double in half and loop through every other sc, draw ends through loop tightly, repeat all around. Trim fringe evenly.
