2nd Row—Ch 3, 3 dc in same space, drop loop off hook, insert hook in 3rd st of ch and pull loop through, (popcorn st) * ch 3, 4 dc popcorn st in next dc, repeat from * 10 times, ch 3, join in Ist popcorn st.

3rd Row—Ch 6, dc in 4th ch from hook, * dc in next popcorn st, ch 4, dc in first ch, repeat from * all around, join.

4th Row—Ch 3, 2 dc in same space, * ch 5, 3 dc in next dc, repeat from * all around, ch 5, join in 3rd st of ch.

5th Row—Ch 5, * skip 1 dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in center st of next loop, ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2, repeat from * all around ending with skip 1 dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in center st of next loop, ch 2, join in 3rd st of ch 5.

Joining Motif. Work first 2 rows of large motif, ch 7 dc in next popcorn st, * ch 4, dc in next popcorn st, repeat from * all around, ch 4, join.

Next Row—Ch 4, join to first free picot of large motif, ch 1, sl st in 3rd st of ch to complete picot, * ch 4, sc in next loop of small motif, ch 4, dc in next dc, ch 1, join to next free picot of large motif, ch 1, complete picot, repeat from * until all 12 picots have been joined, break thread.

Tassel Fringe. Over an 8 inch cardboard, wind thread 20 times, cut one end, loop over joined picots between motifs, draw ends through loop and tighten. * Over a 7 inch cardboard, wind thread 20 times, cut one end, loop through next loop before the picot, draw ends through loop and tighten, repeat from * once. * Over a 6 inch cardboard, wind thread 20 times, cut one end, loop through next loop before the picot, draw ends through and tighten. Repeat from * 4 times, then repeat 7 inch tassel twice.

At the 2 corners have 2 7-inch tassels, 10 6-inch tassels and 2 7-inch tassels.
