Cuff And Hand
Make a chain of 35 stitches; join.
Make 1 single crochet in each stitch, through both loops for 2 inches.
1 single crochet in front loop of 1st stitch, 1 single crochet in back loop of next stitch; repeat to end of round.
Reversed. These 6 rounds must be repeated throughout.
Increase 1 at beginning of round by making 2 stitches in 1; continue like pattern to end of round.
Like pattern.
Increase 1, crochet 1, increase 1, continue like pattern to end of round.
Pattern.
Increase 1, crochet 3, increase 1; pattern.

Increase 1, crochet 5, increase 1; pattern.

Increase 1, crochet 7, increase 1; pattern.
Crochet 4½ inches. Start thumb. Divide stitches into 2 parts. Crochet 5 from one side and 4 from other, chain 6 stitches, making 15 stitches. Decrease 1 of the 6 every round until you have 12 stitches. Make 1½ inches. Decrease every 3d stitch until there are 4 stitches. Thread a needle, draw the 4 stitches to wrong side and finish off.
Take up the 6 stitches chained for thumb, decrease 1 of these each round until all are taken off. Crochet 2½ inches. Crochet 1, decrease 1, crochet 12, decrease 1, crochet 1. Repeat. Crochet 1, decrease 1, crochet 10, decrease 1. Repeat. Decrease in this way until there are 6 stitches on each side. Thread a needle, draw through all the stitches, pull through on wrong side; end off.
Crochet a scallop around top. Make 1 single crochet, 3 chains and 3 double crochets in 1 stitch, skip 2, make 1 single crochet; 1 single crochet in next stitch, 3 chains and 3 double crochets in same stitch. Repeat to end of round.
