Crochet Robin Hood Hat Pattern

Pattern instructions
Hat
String the sequins onto the yarn.
Starting at center back, ch 45 loosely to measure 13 inches. 1st row (right side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across—44 sc.
Turn. (Work is now at top edge of hat.)
Sl st in first st, sc in next 4 sts, loop st in next 7 sts—to make a loop st, insert hook in next sc, yarn over and draw loop through, ch 1, slide 1 sequin down to the hook, insert hook in same sc, with 3rd finger of left hand over the yarn, hold yarn down behind the work, yarn over and draw loop through, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook; hdc in next sc and in each sc to within last 2 sc, sc in next st, sl st in next sc. Ch 1, turn.
Sc in each st across. Turn.
Repeat 2nd row.
Sc in next 31 sts, sl st in next st. Turn.
Sl st in first sl st, sc in next 4 sts, hdc in each remaining st to within last 2 sts, sc in next st, sl st in next st. Ch 1, turn.
Sc in next 17 sts, sl st in next st for brim line. Turn.
Repeat 6th row.
Repeat 3rd row—44 sc.
Repeat last 8 rows 8 times more.
Break off leaving an 18-inch length of yarn. Thread into a needle. Draw needle through each sl st at top edge of hat. Pull up tightly and fasten. Sew center back edges together. Turn up lower edge to meet the brim line at inside of hat and stitch loosely around. Tuck in center top of hat.
