Crocheted Loopy Pillbox Pattern

Starting at center top, ch 2.

6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. NOTE: Do not join but mark last st of each rnd.

2 sc in each sc around (6 sc increased).

* Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc. Repeat from * around.

Sc in each sc, increasing 6 sc evenly spaced. Repeat 4th rnd until there are 72 sc on rnd but do not have inc directly over a previous inc. Work 1 rnd even ending with a sl st in last sc.

Ch 4, * skip 1 sc, dc in next sc, ch 1. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st in 3rd ch of ch-4, sl st in ch-1 sp.

Repeat last rnd 3 times more.

* Sc in next dc, sc in next ch-1 sp. Repeat from * around. Following 2 rnds: Sc in each sc around. Turn at end of last rnd.

Sl st in each sc around. Join. Break off and fasten.

String the bangles onto the yarn.

Starting at center back, ch 16.

Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Ch 1, turn.

Draw up a loop in each of the next 2 sc, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook (1 sc dec), sc in each sc across, increasing 1 sc in last st. Ch 1, turn.

Sc in each st across. Ch 1, turn.

Repeat 2nd row.

Make a sequin loop in each sc across. To make a loop st—Draw up a loop in next sc, ch 1, slide 1 sequin down to the hook, insert hook in same sc, with 3rd finger of left hand over the yarn, hold yarn down behind the work, yarn over and draw loop through, yarn over and draw through all 3 loops on hook.

Repeat 5th row.

Repeat 2nd and 3rd rows alternately.

Repeat 2nd row.

Repeat last 8 rows (5th through 12th row) for pattern 7 times more.

Repeat 5th to 8th rows incl once more.

Break off and fasten. Using a damp cloth, press crown to shape over a large bowl. Sew narrow ends of band together. Slip the band over the crown and sew top edge neatly along the 9th rnd of crown and the bottom edge along the last sc rnd at bottom of crown.
