Filet Beauty Bedspread Pattern #6039
A filet crochet bedspread of about 18-inch squares with shadow spaces and tr edging, sized for single or double beds.

Pattern instructions
Square
Starting at center, ch 12, tr in 12th ch from hook. Now work in rnds as follows:
Ch 7, tr in base of last tr, * ch 7, tr in same place as last tr (a corner), ch 3, skip 3 ch, tr in next ch. Repeat from *, ending rnd with ch 3, skip 3 ch, tr in next tr, ch 7, join with sl st to 4th st of starting ch (a square of 3 x 3 sps).
Ch 7, tr in next tr, * ch 3, skip 3 ch, tr in next ch, ch 7, tr in same place as last tr, (ch 3, tr in next tr) twice. Repeat from *, ending rnd with ch 3; join.
Ch 7, tr in next tr, ch 3, tr in next tr, * in corner sp make 4 tr (a bl), ch 7 and 4 tr; tr in next tr, (ch 3, tr in next tr) 3 times. Repeat from *, ending rnd with ch 3; join.
Beginning with the 4th rnd, follow chart until 10th rnd has been completed.
Ch 5, tr in sp, ch 1, tr in next tr, ch 1, tr in next sp, ch 1, tr in next tr (2 shadow sps made), * 9 bls, ch 7 for corner, 9 bls, (ch 1, tr in next sp, ch 1, tr in next tr) 3 times— 3 shadow sps made. Repeat from *, ending rnd with 9 bls, ch 1, tr in next sp, ch 1, join.
Beginning with 12th rnd follow chart to complete square (heavy line indicates start of rnd).
Make necessary number of squares and sew together on wrong side with neat over-and-over stitches.

Edging
Attach thread, ch 4 and work 3 rnds of tr, making corners as on squares and being careful edging does not ruffle.
