Dc in same place as last sl st, work bl over next sp, dc in next 3 dc (bl made over bl). Work 9 more bls, ch 5, dc in same place as last dc (1 sp increased at both ends of row). Turn, sl st in 3 ch, ch 10.

Dc in 8th ch from hook, ch 2, dc in same place as last sl st (2 sps increased at beginning of row). Work 4 bls, ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc (sp made over bl). Work 6 more sps, 2 bls. Ch 5, dc in same place as last dc, turn, sl st in next 3 ch, fasten off.

Dc in last dc of previous row (1 sp increased at beginning of row). Work 5 bls, 13 sps, 5 bls, ch 5, dc in same place as last dc. Turn, sl st in 3 ch, ch 2, join to 4th row of 1st scallop by making sl st in 5th ch of 1st sp. Fasten off.

Inc 1 sp, work 2 bls, 7 sps, 4 bls, ch 5, dc in same place as last dc, ch 5, dc in 3rd st of previous ch-5, ch 2, join to 4th row of 2nd scallop by making sl st in 5th st of turning ch. Fasten off.

Attach thread to last sl st made on 4th row of 1st scallop. Ch 7, dc in same place where thread was attached, work 2 bls, 11 sps, 3 bls. Ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next sl st (sp worked over joining ch). Work 3 bls, 19 sps, 3 bls. Work 1 sp over next joining ch, 3 bls, 11 sps, 2 bls, ch 5, dc in same place as last dc. Turn, sl st in 3 sts, ch 5.

Dc in next dc (no inc), then work 2 bls, 12 sps, 2 bls, 1 sp, 2 bls, 21 sps, 2 bls, 1 sp, 3 bls, 11 sps, 2 bls, 1 sp. Ch 5, turn. Starting with 7th row, follow chart until 11th row is completed. Do not ch to turn at end of 11th row.

Sl st in next 3 sts, ch 5, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc, work 2 bls, 13 sps, 2 bls, 5 sps, 2 bls, 9 sps, 2 bls, 5 sps, 2 bls, 13 sps, 2 bls, 1 sp. Ch 5, turn (1 sp decreased at both ends of row). Starting with 13th row, follow chart to top. This completes one half of pillow top. To work remainder, reverse chart and work back (but do not repeat last row) to 4 rows from beginning of chart, then work as follows:

Dec 1 sp, then work 1 sp, 2 bls, 7 sps, 4 bls, 2 sps. Turn.

Dec 2 sps, work 1 sp, 11 bls, 1 sp. Turn and follow chart to end. Fasten off.

Attach thread to next dc on last complete row, then work 1 sp, 5 bls, 15 sps, 5 bls, 1 sp. Turn and follow chart to end. Fasten off.

Attach thread to next dc on last complete row, then work 2 sps, 4 bls, 7 sps, 2 bls, 1 sp. Turn and follow chart to end. Do not fasten off, but work a row of sc completely around all edges, keeping work flat.

Pin crocheted piece into shape and press with hot iron through damp cloth. Sew onto pillow.
