Ch 3, tr at top of turning ch, ch 7, trin same place as lasttr, ch 3, skip 3 tr, trin next tr, ch 3, join with trin 4th ch of ch-7 first made (8 sps inrnd),.

2nd rnd: Ch 4, 3 trover bar of last tr, trat base of same tr —/]bIlmade.* Ch], skip 1ch, trinnext ch; ch], skip 1ch, trin next tr—a shadow sp made. Make 3 tr over next ch, trin Ath st of same ch—another b/ made. Ch7, trinsame place as last tr, 3 troversame ch, trinnext tr. Repeat from * 2 more times, ch 1, skip 1ch, trinnext ch, ch], trinnexttr, 3 tr over next ch, trin top of joining tr of previous rnd, ch 3, join with trin 4th st of ch-4 first made.

Starting with 9th rnd, follow chart until block is completed. Fasten off.

Make 3 x 4 blocks, and sew blocks together on wrong side with neat over-and-over stitches.

EDGING... 1st rnd: Attach thread to one tr, ch 4 and work trineach tr, trineachch-l, and 3 trin each space all around, making 4 tr, ch7 and 4 tr at corners. Join with sl st to top of ch-4 first made.

2nd rnd: Ch 5 (to count as tr and ch-]), skip 1 tr, * trinnext tr, ch 1, skip 1 tr. Repeat from *to corner ch-7. Over ch-7, make (ch 1, skip 1 ch, trin next ch) twice, ch 7, trin same place as last tr, (ch 1, skip 1 ch, tr in next st) twice. Work around and join with sl st to 4th ch

of ch-5 first made. 3rd rnd: Ch4, trineach trand each ch-1 around, making 4 tr, ch 7 and 4 trin corners. Fasten off.

Block to measure 73 x 97 inches.
