Renaissance Tablecloth Pattern #7298
Motif tablecloth in Big Ball Best Six Cord Mercerized Crochet size 30. Each motif measures about 4% inches in diameter before blocking. For a tablecloth about 60 x 80 inches make 14 x 19 motifs. Originally published in Spool Cotton #152, Table Treasures.

3rd rnd: Sl stin first 3 chof ch-7loop,scinsame loop, *ch7,scinnext loop. Repeat from * around. Joinlast ch-7 to Istsc.
4th rnd: 13 scineach loop around; join.
5thrnd: *Scinnext5sc,3s cinnextsc,scinnext 5sc, skip 2sc. Repeat from * around, ending withs cinnext 5sc.
6th and 7th rnds: * Skip 2sc,scinnext5sc,3scinnextsc,scinnext5sc. Repeat from * around, ending with skip Isc, slstinnexts c.

Second Motif
SECOND MOTIF... Work Ist 15 rnds as for first motif. 16th rnd: Ché, inch-3 sp make (dc, ch 2) 3 times anddc. Ch 3, dcinnextsc,ch3-Innext ch-3spmakedc,ch2anddc. Ch1,slstin corresponding ch-2 of first motif, ch1, dc back in ch-3 of second motif where last dc was made, ch 2,dcinsame place. Join the next 2 points to adjacent 2 points of first motif in same manner, and complete rnd as for first motif.
Make necessary number of motifs, joining 3 points of each motif to 3 points of adjacent motifs, leaving one point free on each motif between joinings, for fill-in lace.
Fill In Lace
FILL-IN LACE... Starting at center, ch 10, join with sl st.
Ist rnd: Chl, 16s cinring; join.
2nd rnd: Ch8,scincentersp of a free point of any large motif, * ch 8, skip 1s cof ring, s cinnextsc,chl13,scinjoining of large motifs, ch 13, skip | scofring,scinnextsc,ch8,scincenter sp of next free point of next motif. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 13, skip 1s c of ring, sil st at base of ch-8 first made. Fasten off. Fillin all spaces in this manner. Block cloth to measurements given.
