Rose Pillow Pattern
Pillow with a crocheted rose applique worked in White and Dk. Green on Black pillow sections. Pillow sections and finishing follow the Pansy Pillow pattern. Originally published in Current Attractions.

- Plastic Crochet Hook · Size H or any size hook which will result in stitch gauge below
Pattern instructions
Rose
With White ch 7, sdc in 1st st of ch (sdc: yo hook, insert in st, pull loop through, yo and work off all loops at one time), * ch 4, sdc in same space, repeat from * 3 times, ch 4, join in 2nd st of ch.
Ch 1, * 1 sc, 1 sdc, 3 dc, 1 sdc, 1 sc in next ch 4 loop, repeat from * all around, join in ch 1.
Ch 6, sc between next 2 sc between petals, * ch 5, sc in space between next 2 sc between petals, repeat from * 3 times, ch 5, join in 1st st of 1st loop.
Ch 1, * 1 sc, 1 sdc, 5 dc, 1 sdc, 1 sc in next loop, repeat from * all around, join in ch 1.
Ch 8, sc between next 2 sc between petals, * ch 7, sc between next 2 sc between petals, repeat from * 3 times, ch 7, join in 1st st of 1st loop.
Ch 1, * 1 sc, 1 sdc, 2 dc, 3 trc, 2 dc, 1 sdc, 1 sc in next loop, repeat from * all around, join in ch 1.
Ch 9, sc between next 2 sc between petals, * ch 8, sc between next 2 sc between petals, repeat from * 3 times, ch 8, join in 1st st of 1st loop.
Ch 1, * 1 sc, 1 sdc, 1 dc, 2 trc, 3 dtrc (3 times over hook), 2 trc, 1 dc, 1 sdc, 1 sc in next loop, repeat from * all around, join in ch 1, cut yarn.
Attach Dk. Green in dc before the space between any 2 petals, two 3 dc cluster sts with ch 3 between in space between petals (dc cluster st: keeping last loop of each st on hook, 3 dc in same space, yo and work off all loops at one time), skip 2 sts of next petal, join in next dc, cut yarn. Work 5 more groups in same manner placing one in each of the next 5 spaces between scallops.
Pillow
With Black work 2 sections same as Pansy Pillow. Sew rose in position to center of top section. Work lining and finishing same as Pansy Pillow.
