Spread Eagle Chair Set Pattern #7510
A filet crochet Spread Eagle chair set worked in spaces and blocks from a chart for the chair back and matching arm pieces.
Materials
- Milward's steel crochet hook · No. 10 or 11
Pattern instructions
Chair Back
Starting at bottom, make a chain 25 inches long (15 ch sts to an inch).
Dc in 4th ch from hook and in next 2 ch (bl made), ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next ch (sp made), dc in next 3 dc (bl made), make sp and bl alternately until there are 19 bls and 19 sps, 12 dc (4 bls), make sp and bl alternately until 19 more sps and 19 more bls are made. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 5, turn.
Skip 2 dc, dc in next dc (sp over bl), 2 dc in next sp, dc in next dc (bl over sp), and continue making sp over bl and bl over sp to within 4 bls at center of row. Now make sp over bl, dc in next 6 dc (2 bls); make sp over bl and bl over sp to end of row, ending with ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in top st of turning ch (sp over bl made). Ch 3, turn.
Bl over sp, sp over bl, ch 2, dc in next dc (sp over sp made), make 76 more sps, bl over sp making last dc in 3rd st of turning ch. Ch 5, turn.
Follow chart.
1 bl, 20 sps, 2 bls, 34 sps, 2 bls, 20 sps, 1 bl.
Continue in this manner following chart to top. Fasten off.
Arm Pieces
Starting at bottom, make a chain 10 inches long and work bls and sps alternately as for Chair Back, until there are 18 bls and 17 sps on the first row. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 5, turn.
Now follow chart to top. Fasten off.
