Tablecloth

Starting

Starting at bottom of chart, make a chain 3 yds. long (15 ch sts to 1 inch).

1st row

1st row: Dc in 8th ch from hook, ch 2, skip 2 ch, dc in next ch (2 sps made); make 3 more sps, dc in next 24 ch (8 bls); * 10 sps, 8 bls. Repeat from * 8 more times, 5 sps. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 5, turn.

2nd row

2nd row: Dc in next dc, dc in each of next 2 ch, dc in next dc (1 sp and 1 bl); make 3 more bls, ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc (1 sp); make 7 more sps, * 10 bls, 8 sps. Repeat from * across, ending with 4 bls, 1 sp. Ch 5, turn. Chart shows ½ of design. To make second half of each row, repeat the first half, starting from center and working back. Follow chart until 5 rows are made. Ch 3, turn and follow chart until 26 rows are made. Ch 3, turn.

27th row

27th row: 1 bl, 3 sps, 1 bl, 5 sps, 16 bls, 2 sps, 4 bls, 8 sps, 2 bls, 6 sps, 8 bls, 2 sps, 2 bls, 2 sps, 2 bls, 2 sps, 8 bls, 6 sps, ch 3, sc in next dc, ch 5, dc in next dc (1 lacet). Make 99 more lacets, and follow chart across. Ch 3, turn.

28th row

28th row: 1 bl, 3 sps, 1 bl, 5 sps, 16 bls, 2 sps, 4 bls, 8 sps, 2 bls, 6 sps, 8 bls, 2 sps, 2 bls, 2 sps, 2 bls, 2 sps, 8 bls, 6 sps, ch 5; skip ch-3, sc and ch-3; dc in next dc (1 bar). Make 99 more bars, and follow chart across. Ch 3, turn.

29th row: 1 bl, 2 sps, 1 bl, 8 sps, 4 bls, 2 sps, 10 bls, 12 sps, 2 bls, 8 sps, 6 bls, 2 sps, 6 bls, 2 sps, 8 bls, 6 sps, ch 3, skip 2 ch of bar, sc in next ch, ch 3, dc in next dc (lacet over bar). Make 99 more lacets, follow chart across. Ch 3, turn. Now follow chart to top; then reverse design by working back to 1st row. Fasten off.
