Colorwork table cover in J. & P. Coats or Clark's O.N.T. Mercerized Crochet size 10 with Ecru, Sport Green, and Autumn Glow. Center square, corner squares, oblong pieces, and tassels. Originally published in Spool Cotton #67, Crochet For Your Home.

- Milward's steel crochet hook · No. 6 or 7
Pattern instructions
Center Square
Center Square: With Green, ch 9, join with sl st to form ring.
1st rnd: 24 dc in ring. Fasten off and attach Autumn Glow. Pick up back loop of sts throughout.
2nd rnd: Ch 4, 1 tr in each of next 5 sts, * ch 9 (for corner), tr in each of next 6 sts. Repeat from * 2 more times, ch 9, join with sl st to 4th st of ch-4. Fasten off and attach Ecru.
3rd rnd: Ch 5, dc in each of next 5 sts, dc in each of next 5 ch's, *ch 5 (corner), dc in same st as last dc was made, dc in each of next 4 ch's, dc in each of next 6 dc, dc in each of next 5 ch's. Repeat from * 2 more times, ch 5, dc in same ch as last dc was made, 1 dc in each of next 4 ch's join with sl st to 3rd st of ch-3.
4th and 5th rnds: Same as 3rd, working over ch-5's as follows: 1 dc in each of 1st 3 ch's, ch 5, 1 dc in same st as last dc was made, 1 dc in each of next 2 ch's. Fasten off and attach Autumn Glow.
6th rnd: Same as 5th. Fasten off and attach Green.
7th rnd: Ch 2, sc in each st, over corner ch-5 make 1 sc in each of 1st 3 ch's, ch 1, sc in same ch as last sc was made, 1 sc in each of next 2 ch. Continue around and join with sl st to starting ch-2.
8th rnd: Same as 7th, but at corners work 2 sc with ch-1 between. Fasten off and attach Autumn Glow.
9th rnd: Same as 3rd.
10th to 15th rnds incl: Same as 5th.
16th rnd: Same as 7th. Fasten off and attach Green.
17th rnd: Same as 8th.
Four Corner Squares
Four Corner Squares: Repeat 1st to 7th rnds incl of center square.
Four Oblong Pieces
Four Oblong Pieces: Work 4 motifs same as 1st and 2nd rnds of center square and sew together as illustrated with Autumn Glow thread. With Ecru, work 3 rnds around the joined motifs, same as 3rd, 4th and 5th rnds. Fasten off and attach Autumn Glow and work rnd same as 6th.
Assembly
Fasten off and attach Green. Work rnd same as 7th. Sew all blocks together with Sport Green thread, as illustrated. Around entire piece work 1 rnd of sc with Green and 1 rnd of dc with Autumn Glow.
Four Tassels
Four Tassels: Use Autumn Glow. Cap: Ch 3, join with sl st to form ring.
1st rnd: 12 sc in ring.
2nd to 7th rnds incl: Sc in each sc. Stuff with cotton, insert a fringe of 40 strands. Sew tassels to corners.
